Well, let's see.

A 2003 PT Cruiser GT Turbo is $23,430.00 US. With a 1.37 conversion it is $32099.10

A 2003 PT Cruiser GT Turbo is $27,870.00 Cdn. With 15% tax (Ontario only) it is $32050.50

So with no tax on the US price AND one of the highest tax rates in Canada @ 15% for Ontario, the GT Turbo is still cheaper here in Canada. I know, I know... it's not significantly cheaper in this scenario but you have to consider these important factors.
-that most states charge tax, price listed above for US price is without tax
-Ontario has one of the highest tax rates in Canada
-the exchange rate to purchase US funds is 1.3825 as of today's writing on tdcanadatrust.com

This is only one example. I'm sure if you looked it would be the same in almost every case. Just some food for thought...

Just for your information I had my Stage 1 installed in August and the Chrysler dealership which was Wendell Motors in Kitchener, Ontario charged me $572.00 Canadian plus $155.00 install.
If your thinking about ordering from U.S. I would highly recommend calling Tommy Thrift who works for Haynes Jeep, Richmond, Virginia, a.k.a. tthrift on this forum.

b.t.w. it's worth every penny!![8)]

To tell you the truth spidey134 I didn't know that. What had happened to me was I originally tried to order the Stage 1 at the end of June, through the Chrysler dealership in Kitchener, ON. They had contacted Flight Systems in the U.S. where the Stage 1 comes from, and were told to wait a few weeks before sending in an order. In mid July the dealership placed an order but they couldn't confirm with Flight Systems whether they had accepted my order. Because they couldn't get confirmation I told the dealership to then cancel my order and I contacted Tommy Thrift. I sent Tommy a money order and he placed an order for me. Low and behold a few weeks later, I get a call from the dealership in Kitchener that my Stage 1 is in. Tommy is gracious enough to let me off the hook and cancel my order with his dealership and I thank you again Tommy. But I didn't know our orders got sent to the wrong dealerships. By the way Spidey, what city are you in and how do you like your Stage 1.

In Toronto as Ive said before on the street the stage 1 feels great but it doesnt seem to like the track much I get better results with the stage 1 injectors and the factory PCM but doesnt drive as nice on the street and goes through fuel like crazy overall my best bang for the buck purchase so far is my Greedy Profec B spec 2 electronic boost controler. Its cheaper than the stage 1 kit and you really notice the difference..Either option voids youre waranty supposibly. stage 1 though is driver friendly!![:X]

Hey ppl, for anyone in the mississauga area, I can probably get a price close to Rburton's from Erin Dodge. My club has a discount w/ them, and I also get a discount thru work.
