I have seen references to this "T25 Upgrade" in other places. Bear with me, since I am new to PTs, but I have an Eagle Talon with the stock turbo, a Garret T-25. In our circles it is called the T-2Small, it doesn't flow enough air aftar 4500RPMs or so to make the big power. Everyone seems to like the Mitsu 16g turbo a lot more, as it flows much more air.

From what I have read, the SRT and PT GT turbos are closer to 16g turbos than T-25s, so how is a T-25 an "upgrade"?

Be nice!

If I'm not correct, at one point the folks at MP had posted a turbo upgrade in stage II to a Mitsu unit (TD05H-15GK2). This was in the early stages of pre Stage I release at a Chrysler / Mopar Performance display(July this year). I don't know what ever happened to those ideas, they have never been mentioned by the roving DCX folks that pop in now and then to see if we are being good.

Other things mentioned then and forgotten now are:
* 2.5" J-Pipe ?
* variable fuel pressure regulator, and a high flow fuel pump module?

i think the problem with our car, is that this is gonna REALLY expensive. From what i've heard, the exhaust manifold is integrated to the turbo and therefore must also be replaced. This is gonna be what really drives up the cost.

Some tuners have already mentioned the fact that the exhaust manifold is a real stumbling block in the quest for really big horsepower. Taking a look at the beautiful down pipe made by the guy in northern CA, here is your new task... build us a new manifold for one of the larger turbos! Never underestimate a man with a mission!

There are bigger and better turbos coming from Mopar. Just have to get Stage 2 out first, hopefully by the first of the year. And if everything goes well, the kits will be an extreme bargain.

yeah bigger and better for the SRT-4. It's been rumoured that the Stage 2 kit for the GT is the end of line, due to the lack of a consumer market. But the stage 3 kits will be rolling off for the SRT-4

Market, that's a JOKE.....They are only making 3000 or so SRT 4's this year and we are on the second MY for the PT GT! How could the SRT market be bigger, when by Chrysler's own doing it is substantially SMALLER?
