Default Prowler for breakfast

Nice cool ride into work this morning. Had a strange looking set of head lights behind me for a couple of traffic lights. Finally ended side by side with a nice red Prowler. I never see one of these out. After the last fourway stop he went for it. [8)] I was so supprised, he never had a chance. I dont remember what they have for power
,I do remember they have light frame's but I thought they would go. He went alright, went in my rear view mirrors. He was loosing ground right off the line and when I went for second I backed off a touch cause I did not need to keep my foot in it. Man that was fun. I figured I wouldn't have much of a chance, but he got really spanked.

lol, Nice Rodrun. I'm thinking the Prowler driver may have been slippin' a bit with his driving unless you're modded well. I've driven my Dad's Prowler a few times and it's pretty solid on the street. I would have expected him to at least hang with ya for a bit.

Prowler stats depend on the year, but general base stats on them is; 253 horsepower at 6,400 rpms, 255 pound-feet of torque at 3,950 rpms, with a curb weight of 2,838 lbs - RWD and don't think they come in any flavor other than Auto-Stick (but I'm not certain). Aside from the exhaust I haven't heard of many mods for them that aren't purely visual.

Nice to hear though, looking forward to smoking dear old Dad from the line. [?]

Just got off the phone with the local dealership, I had seen a prowler setting in the employee parking lot a few weeks ago when I picked up my Stage one kit. I got to talk to him, he said his is modded to 275 hp but he also told me that they would not keep up with the GT'z. One of the sales guys has a GT with cold air and Stage One, he said he and the sales guy had a go at each other on the street behind the dealership and the GT took him out.

Aye, I meant I haven't seen many Prowlers with anything other than cosmetic mods. The big performance upgrades for the Prowler would seem a little cost-prohibitive to me but I suppose if you can throw out 50g for the car the mods aren't gonna seem expensive.

Too funny Rodrun, definately gonna have to catch Dad out now. Only performance mod he's put on that I know of is exhaust. [8)]

Let us know how that goes. I am careful not to bite off more than I can chew. SS Cameo's, Ram Air Birds, Lighting's,350Z'S. I never could tell if it was a guy driving or a chick. I drive this same road for the past five years and never say this car before. I never seem to run into anything that wants to play.

Good luck with a lightning, or a 350z. they are fast. Lightning is a 13.80 ride factory on eagle f1's and a 350z does it in a low 14....

If he didn't think he need not bother, he should have not lit it up on rolling out from the stop sign. He had plenty of stops to blow me off but the last stop on this road there is plenty of room and no traffic to get it on, he did, I did, he got spanked.
