Well gotta take it back. I have oil leaking from the bolts on the top of the valve cover. Cleaned it up twice so far and it keeps coming back. Looks like they may have left off the rubber washers/grommets on those two top bolts. Also, #4 spark plug well is FULL of oil. Can only see tip top of spark plug and 3/4 of the plug boot is covered in oil. Hopefully just needs a new O-ring set. I think i'm gonna ask them to give ME the new gasket and o-rings and i'll R&R them myself. Damn, and I just got finished cleaning the engine bay up again. Also found a nice MAC TOOLS ratchet, long extention and 13mm socket wedged down by the fan shroud. If it ain't one thing it's another[xx(]

I wondered why it took so long to replace the head on your PT. I just finished a 944 turbo refurbish, newly refurbed head, added a boost controller, a new wastegate and computer...it took 1 day to button up, and I'm just a sloppy home wrench jockey.

I guess that the missing bracket was not the only thing left off. When a mechanic does a job on overflow time (when he can spare the time) it can take the 14 days to do a one day job like this did. Often when you don't have a continuous train of thought pieces and parts are just left off. WATCH VERY CAREFULLY HOW THE ENGINE REACTS... EVEN SMALL NOISES. These parts may not be the only things left off, not torqued to spec, or not screwed down at all.
You need to have a serious heart to heart with the service manager about this issue, and others that are to come!

One terrible thought... they may have only installed a new head gasket and tried to re-use all the rest of the existing gaskets etc; $100+ savings.(With the long time lapse, some pieces got lost in the 14 days of marathon install!
The other option is worse; a slob mechanic that hits only the high points and has severe short term memory loss!
