I have no idea what the reason is, but I think it has nothing to do with a dealer flashing the PCM, this is something else.

Sounds like initialy you were running too high of boost. Stock and even stage 1 will drop boost off above 4500 RPM or so. They only way I can get boost to maintain on my Stage 1 (5 spd car)is to do the "spring trick" on the wastegate. Also I never get 15# boost levels in the lower gears...it's only 4th and 5th gear (maybe 3rd) that the car will carry 15#'s boost.
Like I said, something was wrong IF you were boosting 15#'s to redline...
Just my $.02

I've been watching this thread and I understand what you are talking about. My car doesnot appear to respond like it did when I first installed the Stage 1. I don't appear to have the same oomph. Also, I don't have the same low end torque. At first I could spin my tires,(with the traction control on and the light flashing, etc) until I backed off the throttle. Now I can spin them 3 or fourth times before they grab. Also, when I punch it at 70mph or so, I don't have the same pull as I did when I first installed Stage 1. So, I've been waiting to see if someone else had the same problems. I've tried resetting the computer and that doesn't work. So I decided to wait, and I also knew that Stage II was coming with the manual boost control and I figured "that" would take care of it. Now don't get me wrong, the car still pulls hard, but not like it did when I first got the Stage 1. Also, I installed a 2.5" cat to muffler pipe and that seemed to open up my top end a lot. The car seems like it will pull until I back off, but again not like it was when I first installed the Stage 1. I'm getting almost 20MPG with my autostick, and the car is running great otherwise, so it wasn't a "major" concern, just something that I knew I would "get around to" finding a solution for.

Macster,

The shift are just as crisp as they were after the transmission learn part of the install, the only thing that has changed is the boost range. I have MOPAR BOV installed as that's what the inst. suggested. The report from that when I let off Heavy accel. is much softer now then it was.
hyracer, as to not getting 15.25 pounds of boost if I did't get that I would have posted as such, please don't doubt what I post.

My shifts feel crisp but I seem to have lost some HP. I need to go to the drag strip and do a run and see what the results are.

Culprat,

Would you please do a fault code check (key on/off several times in 5 sec)? This doesn't sound like a software issue though.

When you say you have checked for leaks, did you use a little vacuum pump on the lines to/from the various solenoids? This sounds like what happens when there is a leak in the BOV system and it is venting under boost - but I can't imagine you wouldn't hear that. It will make boost with the surge valve all the way open (but not 15 psi), but it loses torque at the bottom end and feels soft.

3BarBoost,

I will do a code check in the morning, and post what I find. But it has never set a check engine light. Ever thing else works very fine, that's what has my shorts in a bunch.

Culprat,
Where does it say in my post that I was doubting you? What I said was that from all the posts I've read its NOT NORMAL to be able to carry 15 plus lbs. of boost to redline. That is why people are using the spring trick or buying other wastegates. I'm assuming that is why MOPAR will be replacing the wastegate in the Stage 2 kit.
