Well, after having the Stage I for a full week, I can report back that I am still as satisfied with it as the day it was installed. What's more, I can confirm what others here have suggested--that miles per gallon have increased!
In my first 5 months, I averaged 19.4 mpg; my best ever was 20.4. With stage I installed (and even with full throttle acceleration 'testing' nearly all the time), I averaged 22.8 mpg. That is a 10% increase, with more expected, should I start driving 'normally' again, without all the full-throttle starts. I remember getting just over 300 miles on a full tank just once before (and ran out of gas 100 yards from the service station at 307 miles showing. With stage I, I was at 310 miles, and the needle hadn't even settled on the peg yet. I used to let it sit there for about 20-25 miles, assuming a gallon or so left in the tank after hitting the peg. This increase in mileage is the cherry on top of a great upgrade! |

Hey man you really shouldn't let your tank get that low, it's not good for the fuel system.

Generally speaking, it's bad to let a fuel pump (or most pumps) run dry.
