Not exactly a kill, but....
I had a imprompto romp the other night against a BMW 5-series. Not sure which one, since it was night and I never got a real close look at the insignia on it.
We were both cruising about 75-ish, with him gaining slowly. As he passed, (4-lane highway), I sped up to match him. He bumped it up a notch, and I followed. Then, he punched it, and again I responded. He got about a car and a half lead on me, and then we stayed that way all the way to 120MPH! After we slowed and I caught up, gave him a thumbs up and he responded in kind. He nodded "again?", and of course, I nodded "sure!". This time, I punched it first and got a car or so in front, and held it all the way to 120 MPH again! While I didn't outrun him, he didn't outrun me either. I was really impressed that I could hang with the Beemer. What's your take on it? Damn, this car is fun![8D]

Depends on the 5 series engine...they are rather heavy and are not that quick unless it was an M5...but I think an M3 will kick an M5.

Heavy or not, a 286hp 540 is something to be reckoned with. 525 is a slug tho.

On straight line acceleration the PT GT would take a 540 IMHO.

The PT GT can run side by side with a 530, a 540 will kill us, let alone an M5.
I know this for a fact.
