You answered your own question, dude. In addition, you get the same performance for a lower MSRP as well.

Are the injectors in the turbo lite the higher volume variety? Stage 1 involves injectors on the 93.

I am not sure how it's bad for existing GT owners. GT gets things the other models don't, like 17" wheels. I agree if it's mostly paying for HP then it's pretty dumb, but what do I care, really? I got a GT because it was what I wanted, and all the parts that make my car go fast came stock and are fully warranteed. He got 40HP less than me stock, and there is nothing that will get his car to my level and retain the warrantee on all the parts. Seems like a decent trade-off. No need for sour grapes because you could have gotten somethign different and didn't.

It's only $1000.00 (Canadian) less for the Turbo lite over the GT, so what's the point?
Unless my info is wrong, I used the Chrysler.ca site, it makes no sense to get the lite turbo then upgrade it to the GT HP - IMHO. The wheels alone are worth the extra grand.

well I got the 180 hp because it had everything that I wanted except wheels.. and those are not on the GT either... AND because I got it for 20,302 out the door... so the cost was unbeatable to me too. so if I get the wheels I want and then a stage 1 I will be completely happy.. no sour grapes here.

I think D-C changed the configuration in Canada now so you *must* get the totally loaded PTGT if you want the full turbo...
To be honest, the PTGT is not that bad for pricing but a loaded PTGT is expensive and does not have many features (ie. gadgets) compared to others in the same price range. With the lite you also don't get the 4 wheel disc brakes and traction control. You also get a poorer suspension (not sure how this is possible!!!). Still a few hundred bucks for a HUGE torque increase is insane...nothing against the owners...I just think D-C could have made changes that made this impossible... LIP

now what difference would me having 20's on back make to the HP ... that doesn't make any sence to me....

I am all for options that give owners MORE choices for how they want to configure their car and spend their money. You want a powerful turbo engine without ABS? They should be serving it to you on a platter instead of the way things are done now: "Nope, you can't have leather unless you also get the 16" wheels, the ABS, and the backseat bidet" When I bought my Cirrus in 96, I was actually looking for a Stratus, and I wanted the alloy wheels with the car, but was told I couldn't have them unless I bought the 3,000 ES model option, which came with leather seats and a V-6 engine I didn't want.
