OK - Who knows where the link is that states the Government Regulation against VOIDING A WARRENTY due to after market parts installation. We need to print this out and sent it to those dealers who think after market is a no-no.
I've been looking for it and can't locate the text on a past thread.

Here is a link to the Magnussun-Moss Act; http://www.sema.org/content/?id=22238 +/or http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/...s/warranty.htm Unfair warranty denial; http://www.sema.org/content/?id=22237 Warranty Denied;http://www.sema.org/content/?ID=8124&criteria=moss I feel the problems some dealers have installing these Hi-Perf. mods is that they are not legal to install on a pollution controlled motor vehicle. They are/could be breaking Federal and State laws and they just do not want to deal with the headaches and law suits that could follow and it happens everyday with just normal service and repair. If they can avoid even the possibility of any sort of litigation they will and you would to. The problem is Chryslers policies, not to mention how PVO/MP let us down by short cutting the engineering on their upgrades making it impossible to get Fed or CARB exemptions. By the way this horse has been beaten to death several times already, please search out the other posts. |
