After I installed S1, the threads on my front tires have been wearing at an alarming rate. I can't figure out whats causing it.
ROFL!

Hey, macster, do you have a BTG strut bar installed? I just installed one and it is schweeeeet. Faster turns. I no longer have to worry about flying off a turn into a tree. Instead, I wonder if I will be passed by my own a$$ end.

I wonder if it helps traction off the line..?

Nope I don't have the bar. Mean Green was having problems with his, so I passed. I hear enough groaning from my wallet.

I love how in the cold weather in michigan I can light up the tires and make a salt cloud behind me - in second gear

So, yeah I guess I'm happy.

Yeah, love my '03 PT GT. Can't wait to get my Stage 1 installed, and when it comes available, a Hurst Shifter--Boy, does that sound cool!!!!! I'm an old man, but GT's make me feel young again. Wife has a '03 Touring, she thinks I'm nuts-----She's probably right!!!![}][}][}]

Double A, I loved your story. I'm the same way, I love taken down the more expensive cars with my, awh look at the little PT, DAMN HOW DID HE DO THAT !!!
Stage ONE, so far so great!
1st gear is very strong, torque steer and all (which adds to the fun factor). However, second gear looses it's punch so I thought a little 75 hp shot would do the trick. Just click the little button after the 1-2 and I bet it'll keep on pulling. Haven't ordered it from Nitrous Works, yet, though. My PT is a daily driver so I have concerns.

I also had an altercation with Ford Lightning (supercharged) truck. Similar story...except I stayed beside him in low instead of in front, but he walked away from me in 2nd only that time the driver didn't give up too soon so it was embarrasing...oh, wait...PT Cruisers are slow so I was supposed to loose, right! Man, I sure wish I had the nerve to add that 75 hp kit.

Hmmmm.

Macster, I think the front end mechanic who installed my Eibachs was right. The Eibach spring on the right side was rubbing the back of the bolt in the fenderwell. I kept the bar on after I had both the dealer (bar off) and tire store front end man (bar on) look at everything and tell me I had no problems with struts or anything like that. Actually the groaning noise is happening less and less. The front end mechanic said he didn't see a problem and eventually the rubbing (groan) would subside as the friction lessened with time. At this point in time I rarely hear the groan anymore. I'm now happy with it and I love the two "S" curves on the way to and from work [8)]

Hmmmmmmm......cuuuuurves....<Homer drool>

I have no noise from my strut bar and I am amazed at the difference it makes. Get the bar indeed!

"Rub it until it goes away" does not apply to cars, heh.

Nope its called chaffing. ha ha ha ha. But, I'll wait for the long term report from Mean. The next item will most likely be the 3" exhaust from the down pipe to to muffer tail pipe.
