Default 300 HP Stage Kit

What I would like to know, is can we get a kit which will bring us to 300 HP, with out buying the Stage 3 Turbo Kit. I will buy the Stage3 kit if I can pass the CA smog check. I don't give a rat's a** about it being CARB'd or not. I just need to be able to pass the test. Failing that, are there DCX items (that could be sold as a kit) to get us to 300HP? 300 HP is a very magical number cause .... I figure that we can get to 280HP with a S2 and a K&N or Factory Airbox mod. I think that a 180' themostat will get us another 5HP. But my question is what can we do get to 300HP from S2 without the turbo kit? BTW, I'm not even thinking about NOX. Now if someone on the PVO team
would be so kind as to mention what the odds are of passing the CA test with the Stage3 Turbo. I will never post again............

You CA want to have your cake and eat it too. I understand your frustration, but at some point you can no longer have it two ways, you have to choose. I mean, for all I know, you mighgt very well pass the sniffer with a 300HP car, but the higher you go in HP, then it only makes sense that the likelihood of you passing starts to go down at a sharp rate.

Just move to a place where they don't test you (yet), like here.

Triple

Moving is out of the question, why its so cold here that I had to put on a tee-shirt.

Look, if we can get 260HP with S2, and then add a CAI which will take us to 280HP, add a Mopar exhaust which will take us to???? See we are almost there. If we could get these items rated as a package (e.g. HP/torque), then volia. There is your 300 HP Mopar Kit (done at no cost except for the dyno run) again it would be nice to know what those items produced as a package.

I think that I can pass the CA test with the smog as long as they don't get above 2600RPM, but I need to check and see exactly what's involved. But this I can guarante although I will have the S3, my car will be smog legal when it takes the test. <---- How is he going to do that?[:I]

Macster,

I don't think anyone at PVO has the "things" to even post
here any more, let alone make a statment on any thing that
has to do with CARB. It's all about the money they can make
off poeple like us, that said, if you would help me get in touch with Jon Meame the master programer I think we could
get to the places you and I want to go.

Cup

Who is Jon Meame? About the PVO team, yeah you are right. I don't care about being CARB legal. I just would like to know what the likely hood is of the add on S3 turbo passing the CA smog test? I will do a search of the site, the information is probably stuck here in bits and pieces somewhere. I'd hate to be told "for the last time" the S3 turbo will not pass the CA smog tests. Any, I'll go poke around on the SRT site and see who they are skewering.

It's actually John Meany and macster he is known as the father of fuel injection. He is probably the one guy that can crack our PCM.

Stage 3 still includes the stock cat, and the guts of the motor are the same, and the stock motor passes. Place your bets now. You all know what I think.

I dunno, maybe so, maybe not. The only way to resolve this is for DCX to send me the kit and let me do the CA testing and then we will know. Don't worry about the postage, cause I'll cover it. Don't worry about the install cause I'll get HSR to do it. Don't worry about the smog test cause I'll pay for it. Don't worry about the Dyno testing, cause I'll pay for it also. Finally don't worry about getting it back, cause... it'll be a cold day in hell.
