Not sure which question you are asking, but here goes. The torque S2 delivers IS limited, same as all the other stage kits to keep the trans alive. This is done strictly through boost. If you bypass the wastegate solenoid, you bypass the boost control and thus the torque limitation. That is why everybody who is making big power/torque has a MBC or EBC to override the boost limits in the controller.

As for the 1st and 5th gear torque reductions (due to trans strength) do get modified if you have the Turbo Toys selectable boost schedule. It doesn't help much in first gear even with drag radials as you already have more than enough boost to roast the tires. And fifth, well - downshift...

let me start over
1.torque limitation on shifts with auto, how do they limit it if with boost will this be over ridden with a mbc?

2.top mph limitation how is this done? can it be changed or over ridden will this happen with s2.

3.mbc manual boost. ebc electronic? who makes a good one and do they have instructions for a pt.

1. Autos aren't limited except to help you launch better.
2. Sorry, speed governer still there
3. Don't know, look around.

Do you have a stage 1 or still stock? Stage 1 has much better shifts (firmer).

Owning a MTX, I am not as familiar with the ATX - however power does nose over just before shift speed. This is because the engine is out of fuel and can't hold boost any more. The stage upgrades make more fuel available and thus more power at the top end.

So I guess what I am saying is this isn't what I would lump in with "torque management" but rather with normal engine operation. Try to bypass it and you'll lean your engine out without fuel delivery upgrades.
