Famous last words.

Nitrous is not the way to go for those who have no experience with it and need to have a reliable vehicle on a daily basis.
Actually, even if S2 was $2000.00, its still more expensive to go with the Nitrous setup. <------ Why did he say that?

cause:

The continuing refill costs ($40.00 a bottle) will eventally take you past the fixed cost of the S2.

True, plus to do a Nitrous setup correctly and safely, it would cost you way more than $700.$700 will get you a basic setup and maybe a bottle warmer, but if you add in blow-down tubes, remote bottle openers, and good safety devices like Nitrous Controllers, then it is at least the same price or more for the Nitrous, plus you still have to fill the bottle.

It's not like any of you have put money down.
Just wait for the PT pricing and stop getting angry over speculation.
Although if its over 1000 for a cpu, injectors and a few gadgets more than doubles the price, that is crap.
And, if i have to give my stage 1 cpu back and not get a price break, that is more crap.

paying more than 600-800 is craptacular! The only new thing is some sensors..plus we don't get toys. Those two extra sensors can't cost 1200 bucks![xx(]

Better go do your math again...

SRT pricing is the only thing announced. And for them the extra $600 is to get a set of switches, a wiring harness and bits to build an intercooler sprayer.

SRT Stage 2 is $999 dealer list without the Toys for those who won't go read the link.

I wouldn't put money on requiring you to turn in your Stage 1 pcm. This may be the Stage 1 "rebate" everybody wanted. Honestly, I don't know either way.
I was figuring $800-$1000 for Stage 2 w/o toys. If it's in that price range I'll get it. Yee Haa! Tomorrow my 2.5 Heartthrob catback single goes on.

I'm with Mean Green on this one! Discounted S2 will be $900 or less...I want the Toys bad but probably not bad enough to pay an extra $600. I too will be installing a 2.5" cat-back this weekend in anticipation of S2 so my course is already set. And for you that are not going to purchase S2 because it is too steep price wise...will make my wait a little shorter since the waiting line won't be so long. I don't want to trade in my 'puter...but if I have too...I'll give them my S1 so I can still go into the dealer with my stock one for warranty work.[8)]

If we have to exchange our PCM's Stock or Stage I then I feel we need to add that to the price of the kit! I was all happy until the RUMOR of having to exchange your PCM was posted . That is B.S.(if true)

RE: $1600.00 projected price...

Better check the trade-in value of a 2003 GT. I will wager that a 2003 GT with 15K miles will bring less than $16K trade-in.

It looks like DCX is trying to meet a 10% of market-value price tag for highly anticipated upgrades.

If I had a few months to live, and nothing to lose, I might take that approach also.

Otherwise, back in the real world, I realize that actions have consequences.

As far as I can tell, they are continuing the tradition of urinating in their Fruit-Loops, deficating in their grits, or (insert local coloquial phrase here).

DCX is Dead; Long Live DCX.
