Looks like they are in the process of fixing the Stage2 upgrade web-page for the PT.

Yes, In the web site, if you click on Cruiser Turbo Stage 2 it defaults to Stage 1, but if you click on Overview at the top and click on PT Cruiser Turbo it shows 240 hp/ 260 ft-lb for S1 and 265hp/280 ft/lb for S2.

If this is correct, I am in.[?]

The website still has some work needed. It still has the discrepancy for Stage 1 - the rollover on the main PT page shows 240/260 while the Stage 1 page itself shows 235/260. You know, there are worse things in life to worry about I suppose.

Enough with the personal stuff. Enough of "act like an adult" ****. You don't know me and I don't know you. No more giving life advise. My feeling are not hurt, I am just pissed because you act like you know me. Don't. Let's move on.
That's just it, dude. I am acting like I DON'T know you. Using your comments as the only way to tell what you are like is how I have come to my conclusions. If I knew you I might be nicer, because I might understand where you were coming from.

Back to the subject. Your opinion is that the cost is fine. Your OPINION. I don't know how many times I have to say it, it RELATIVE. I think differently and it's ok. Your quote: "people might complain that there is no stage 1 rebate, and they might complain about other aspects of it, but for what it is, the cost is not that out of line". Now, to me, it's out of line and I have every right to say that. You can agree or not, that's your or anyones option.

Go to powerchipgroup.com. They have a stupid chip for the Turbo cruiser for $499. This chip will make 245HP and 278 Torque on the STOCK PCM. Now that is cost effective. I was thining about sending them my old PCM or seeing if they could do something with the stage 1 PCM to get more HP that stage 2 without the exhaust.
That's only 10 more HP than you get with stage 1. And you want to pay 500 bucks for it. And I don't know those guys or how good they are with tuning and testing and making sure they aren't going to underfuel my car. I at least have SOME faith in the PVO/SRT guys.

And it isn't a STOCK PCM once you modify it with their chip. Good luck getting dealer updates to that thing.

And be careful...calling their chip stupid....not very diplomatic.

Now, we can continue to go back and forth, or just agree to disagree.

What you feel is cost effictive, I feel isn't.
I very much prefer to point out the mistakes and assumptions of others so people don't begin relying on them as facts.

TurboG told me today that the MOPAR website is screwed up this week (evidently some garbled communication with the web designers). Please ignore all the new erroneous data put up Monday the 23rd. Should have been fixed by today...

Is this a bad time to speculate on adapting S3 to the autostick GT? <-----
Just thinking out loud.

I've been reading all of the posts on S1 (and now S2) since I bought my GT. I've agonized over the warranty issues, the price versus performance, etc. etc. My head hurts I've thought about it so much! I think Ian-PT-GT finally made it clear to me. If I can inadvertantly spin my tires now in first gear without Stage 1...what am I really going to get with S1 or S2? I'm not interested in a showy burn out at a light, while I'm left in the dust! ! ! ! Have I made my brain numb for no reason, or am I missing something here?

Its all about where you want to go. Having more power is not just about the launch, it's about passing slower cars on the freeway, accident avoidance due to your having the ability to get the hell out of the way quickly. Its also about your love one ( for example) having enough power to pass folks in order to avoid getting caught in an accident.

For me its just a number that I want to get to (e.g. 300HP) and also being able to pass folks when I need to. With the right tires and launch technique you will be able to get away quickly without spining much.

But in all honesty the bottom line for me is that I want it, cause I want it, and thats all the reason I need.

What you are missing is that S1 and S2 are not for burnouts. They are for power in the later gears where your tires won't spin. There is a very noticeable difference in going through the gears with S1 and S2 will be even better. I can take off in first gear with S1 and not burn the tires and it is a he!! of a ride through the gears.
