What exactly is this?
How does it work? And more importantly, how do I have to shift gears to make it work? |

Normally boost is related to throttle position, based on what the driver wants. So when you lift off during a shift, wastegate opens assuming you want less power.
To utilize WOT shift feature, you have to be abusive to the trans. Keep your right foot on the floor - give the clutch just enough to allow you to yank the next gear and drop it again. My car goes KA-POW! when I do it. It's cool.

KA-POW huh, i think i would like to see and hear that one day ![]() have you ever had to go into a chrysler service department for any warranty or regular work and had the service advisor try to feed you a line about your car? or can you do your own warranty repairs. tommy |

My first new car (a 97 dakota) was purchased with my employee discount. They wanted to sell me extended warranty coverage - until they learned I was a line engineer at Chrysler.
I do all my own work on my own cars. Honestly, I've never broken anything while it was still in warranty. Actually, I haven't much hurt my cars at all. Except the one that burned to the ground, and the one that dropped two valves when I down-shifted on an on ramp. Oh, and the one that I rear-ended a F-350 with. That and the time.... ![]()

One more thing:
If you powershift, wouldn't boost be held even without Stage I or II? If you don't lift the boost should hold. Am I right? Can you ellaborate on this one, pretty please 3Bar.

If you touch the clutch without a Stage kit, it goes into another mode and wastegate duty cycle drops (less boost). It might even go into a different rev limiter.
I don't really know, I put my Stage 1 kit on the day after I got my car.
