Default Current Stage 2 info (SRT)

Just a little update on S2 for SRT.
Dealers are now able to place orders for the stage 2 kits. The pricing is $1599.00 MSRP w/ toys and $999.00 MSRP w/o toys. Performance ratings are: w/ toys-265 HP/280 ft-lbs and 280 HP/300 ft-lbs in high octane mode.
w/o toys-260 HP/280 ft-lbs.
Part number w/ toys-P5007863
w/o toys- P5007967
The kit w/o toys will not accept toys. They can not be added.
The first ship date is 04-15-04 and there will be NO core return.
I would assume that S2 for the PT will be the same as S2 w/o toys.

That's interesting, are you sure the S2 with toys puts down the additional 5HP as compared to the non-toys version? This is the first time I've seen that mentioned. FWIW, I'm currently making about 260HP and about 275TQ with my SRT-4 and mods - I hope the power is similar or better with Stage 2.

the rated 280 on the toys is only because you have the option to run a higher octane fuel...so basically it's still 265 until you push the hihg octane fuel button and have some high octane in your tank....it's funny that your into tuning your srt4 and haven't heard about that.

They rated it at 300 when using the Race Gas switch, but the last time I looked, they said that number was not yet certified and was apparently an estimate.

Last i looked at Mopar site it was straight out
265 with Stage 2 on normal juice and 280 with race gas.

I think Starkie was commenting on the whole 260 vs 265 hp thing.
Turbo toys just gives you the race gas option.

Yep, I guess I screwed the pooch on what I meant. But you are right...265HP not 260HP...every little bit helps.

280HP with unleaded race gas is going to be intersting. I usually get 100-octane unleaded at a local Union 76 station before going to the dyno. Race gas is just as a little extra insurance in case of detonation and does a good job of keeing my fuel system completely clean. My car runs best with a 50-50 mix of 100-octane and 91-octane California gas...it doesn't run quite as well on pure 100% race gas.

The word from SRT forums is that 80+ Stage2 kits were shipped out from Mopar Flight Systems yesterday...

The sooner the SRT's have their kits, the sooner we'll get ours
