Mean Green,
Thanks for the pep talk. I have been critical of the German company that makes our PT. They have purposely kept the aftermarket from internal secrets (better to hoard the aftermarket), yet they haven't produced much for our consumption. I don't feel that my feedback is bad though. If I made a product and my customers had reservations, I would want to know about it as strait and unvarnished as possible so that I could make a better product. I stand firmly in my thought that no ammount of feedback on this site has had ANY effect on future plans to not participate. That honor belongs to the marketplace... lower sales = less support. We flatter ourselves if we think we can turn Daimler's wheel even a little with a few negative words on one tiny web site. Mean, I grew up in Oregon, and about this time of year I too was severely depressed with the endless cloud that decends in September and doesn't clear till June. Cheer up it will be spring soon, you'll have a sunnier outlook then. (My bad attitude now comes from being a crotchety old Beaver who's teams keep loosing!)[^] |

Kirby, I apologize for my previous comments.
![]() You posted a very positive responce to Mean Green and I applaud your restraint in replying to MY post![|)] It IS way to easy to to rant an rave etc. on the internet. At least in the old "snail mail" days you had a day too cool off before dropping a letter into the mail-box. Now it's very easy to sit down in front of a screen and send out off-the-cuff remarks to many people we personally don't know. What a dis-service to mankind in general... Kirby, I too lived in the valley for many years and would get depressed until June-July when we get to see the sun again. That's why I moved to Central Oregon a few years ago where we at least get to see some sun for about 300 days out of the year. I agree with most of the other posts...let's just cool our heals and wait for Mopar to release S2 sometime in June...or whenever. My apologies to the rest of our group for adding MY trash responces to the forum. Deen

Where's all of this depression coming from? I enjoy this time of the year and the rain. It's what makes and keeps this part of the country beautiful. No depression here. I'm smiling in the rain

Wait, Wait, Wait... Elec Blue is right... WAIT AND SEE.
My brother works for DCX and he just sent me the email. The dealer price is $750, so the $819 is right on. As for the cross over, it won't work. That is coming right from my buddy who is a mopar SRT tech. He is certified SRT! It is b/c they have a new PCM not a chip, and the SRT 4 shares the same engine and tranny, but not the same mapping system. Just trying to save you $819. I agree, the PT GT Stg2 should be out in June or July. The Turbo Toys will not be avail., at least that is what I see. I have a catalog that came from DCX that shows all the Mopar performance stuff to be released this year. It is a dealer only book. The Stage 2 will give you 260hp. The SRT4 w/ the Toys options will be able to switch to high octane and dial a boost. Below is the actual from the SRT ad book. The SRT-4 Stage 2 Turbo Upgrade Kit WITHOUT Turbo Toys includes a Stage 2 PCM, Wastegate Actuator (P350), 3.0 bar MAP Sensor, 3.0 bar TIP Sensor, and (4) +30% Fuel Injectors (682 cc/min). The Performance Ratings for the SRT-4 Stage 2 Turbo Upgrade Kit WITHOUT Turbo Toys is 260 hp/280 ft-lbs. So far, the added benefit of exhaust, cold air induction and ignition kit should add another 20hp after Stage 2. The gains are not that significant w/o the Stage kit.

Just one thing though, the PT GT and the SRT-4 do not share the tranny.

I can remember catching some pretty big rainbow trout out of the crooked river when I was a little nipper. Heaven has to be a little like Prineville.[|)] |

OK, this may be a dumb question, but I'll ask it anyway. Since both the Stage I & II Kits include a new PCM, I should be able to skip buying a Stage I and just go straight to the Stage II Kit and a 2004 model that already has the larger injectors. Correct? I apologize if this has already been answered, but I've ready through the discussions and didn't see it addressed specifically. As a newbie Turbo owner I'm still trying to get a handle on all the options and best of breed items I want to add to my 2004 Dream Cruiser (AZ/LP = BADREAM).[:I]

The stage 2 kit has even larger (higher potential output), at 20% over stock(2003). Your 2004 model has the 10% over stock injector, which was added to 2003 models in their stage 1 kit. The stage 1 kit for 2004 models is just a PCM I would guess.[8)]
