Default Stage 2 ?

Wycoff has the base kit for the SRT 4 at $819 for the base kit, sounds reasonable for the chip and a small ammount of stuff. Only problem is that the run down only mentions manual tranny. Say it aint so....we might be able to bridge the Neon / PT gap, but a manual to auto (electronic shifts and all) won't happen.

Ok, before things get out of hand again...

1) Stage 2 hasn't been released for the PT yet, so I wouldn't expect an official product description yet (more than likely, the SRT-4 specs will be 98% of what we will find).

2) Tommy Thrift has confirmed that the Stage 2 kit is coming. 3BarBoost said that the release date probably will be 1-2 months after the SRT-4 release. This is due to supplier problems (sensors, turbo toys accessories (SRT-4 only), etc.) Since most of the demand for Stage 2 will be SRT-4 related, doesn't it make sense to appease the SRT-4 crowd first? The squeaky wheel gets the grease...

3) Wait and see...

Everyone has been bellyaching about Stage 2 ever since it was rumored, myself included. My only complaint was the rumored pricing. Since the Stage 2 pricing has been officially announced, I am comfortable with the MSRP and the respective discounting that will no doubt occur. (Stage 1 MSRP = $399 (manual), I have seen it as low as $329) I expect to see similar discounting for Stage 2. Kirby even said Wyckoff is selling the SRT-4 Stage 2 kit for $819 (without toys). JR Motorsports will sell Stage 2 for 10% over cost. Keep that in mind.

I have faith in the Mopar bunch. They know some of us want this kit. I personally held off my Stage 1 purchase in order to go for Stage 2.

Main point: Wait and see. Why waste the banter on something that hasn't even seen the light of day yet?

Me too. I'm as guilty as everyone else as far as the bellyaching. I'm sick of it. We cost ourselves the chance to be included with the Mopar/DCX people like the SRT4 folks are. They have very strict rules about posting with the Mopar/DCX group. Funny, they are for the most part a bunch of kids but have showed respect for the Mopar/DXC group. Unlike we more MATURE people. Maybe we can offer the olive branch and make peace with Mopar/DCX. Set up strict forum rules when it comes to dealing with them. Ban anyone who continously mouths off. What about it Administrator?

guys i am just as bad as everyone else, i may not bi*** on here but i spend a lot of time on he phone with DCX trying to find out new info. i want this kit really bad, i would like to stay with mopar products to make my gt go fast and not have to use aftermarket products. As far as the pricing goes the srt/4 w/toys MSRP is 1599.00 and i have been selling for 1375.00 and the kit w/o toys has a MSRP of 999.00 and i have been selling that kit for 800.00 , the kit w/o the toys have the all the same parts in it as the pt should have so if i had to guess you will most likley be paying around 800.00 or so.

i hope this answers some questions and i did not post this trying to sell to anyone , just for info.

thanks tommy

Thanks Tommy...as always your information is greatly appreciated...and I'd be willing to bet when the Stage II does come out for our PTs I know who to call!

I will repeat myself: NO ammount of a$$ kissing will either make or stop a product! Companies make products to sell for profit.

If you buy it, they will sell it.

Bitch and complain to your hearts content, it will NOT make any difference!

Fail to buy the product, support will dry up immediately!

(Our bitching actually helps them to set an appropriate price, which will make more sales, which will continue the big guy's support!....so, our feedback rancid and foul as it may be gives the company what it desperately needs - feedback!)

I agree with Kirby. DCX should kiss our a$$es for spending $20/25 K for the PT to begin with not to mention all their MoPar accesories and MP performance parts we've already bought = $$$$$$ ! I am still waiting for the Short Throw Shifter - LSD - SII and more, which equals quite a few hard earned dollars. PVO/SRT needs to come to us and accept our constructive criticism and benefit from it!!! If they are too timid to jump in here and take the heat then they can kiss my a$$!
What they should do is BAN anyone who wants a BAN! What about it administrator!

Ahhhh, that felt good.

Kirby, easy big fella. You cover both sides of an issue in one post. Rather politician like. My view is we have waited for 6 months now and 1 or 2 more will not force any of us into social decay. Heck, I waited almost 2 1/2 yrs. until a factory PT came out with horsepower.
