One more thing, the altitude slows the car a lot, mine runs the 1/4 in 15.9 in Toluca, which is about 10,000 FT high and it has quite a few mods.

Edgar, there might be a few tips on running a stage 1 PT atx a little better.

1. Let auto-stick shift for itself (it will automatically, shift around 6200 RPMS)

2. Better tires, set psi around 25 for the front tires.

3. Launching at 1900 - 2100 RPMS.

I'm sure you probably may or may not know these, but I'm just tossing these points up just for simple reminders.

Cirrus might be lighter than the PT, therefore they go faster .
Thanks for the tips, few months ago I run muy PT in autostick mode but I felt strange, for example first gear change at 6000 rpm (veryfast) but at the moment to change second gear to third gear it came late more than 1 second. I dont know how to explain what hapend! [:I]

AND I HAVE A CIRRUS ยด02 WITH THE SAME MACHINE 2.4L. DOHC TURBO AND AUTOMATIC, BUT THIS CAR IS MOST POWERFULL THAN THE PT GT, WHY? MAY BE THE INTAKE SYSTEM IS LESS RESTRICTIVE.
They didn't sell the Cirrus in the US with the Turbo engine to my knowledge did they? I would assume one reason is that the Cirrus cust the air much better than the PT.Gotta remember the PT is like driving a phonebooth on wheels.

No, the Stratus/Cirrus (now Sebring) only came with a 4 banger (not sure the size) or the V-6 that I had. My 2000 Stratus ES had 175HP, the 2001 and up came with a 200HP V-6. You know, I really liked that car, and if it would have had the guts of a Stage 1 PT she'd still be in my garage today.

In Mexico we have Stratus R/T and Cirrus (Sebring over there) with a 2.4L High Output Turbo that makes 225 HP and 245 lb/ft.

Yeah, the Big-3 have a habit of selling cool cars and trucks in Mexico that they don't here. I know they have made a Yukon-like Full-size Ram, and this is another one. I know the Ram/Yukon thing wasn't sold here because of emmisions/mileage, but I wonder why they didn't sell the 2.4L Turbo Stratus/Sebring here ?
