Default Help for the F N G

I just purchased a silver 2003 GT that had been sitting on the lot for quite some time. It had no sunroof or leather, so I am guessing that's why it had no takers. i did get one hell of a sweet deal on her!!! Any way on to my question, could you guys, or gals, get me up to speed on what is all involved with the Stage II...... What will I need to have prior to buying it (when it finally comes out) ,also what will all come in the basic kit. Thanks a million in advance.[8)]

You have a little more head room with out the moonroof and no roof dimples! I personally like the cloth better than leather, of course that is what I have .

I would recommend a 3" down pipe assembly and a straight through 2.5" single outlet exhaust. I would also recommend amx1397's turbo to stock air box pipe.
A second set of front tires and a gas card with a higher credit limit .

SII includes a PCM - 4 injectors - 3 bar MAP - 3 bar TIP - WGA .

I bought my white 2003 GT under similar circumstances. It has no options. I have cloth interior, 5 speed, painted wheels instead of chrome, standard audio, and of course no leather nor sunroof. After rebate (before taxes) it was $18K last August.
The only thing a somewhat regret is the manual trans. I thought my wife would learn how to drive it.
No real mods yet as I am still waiting for stage-2: http://www.mopar.com/pt_stage_2.htm
Congrats on your purchase.

I have a GT 5 speed and my wife refuses to learn how to drive a stick. Oh well, I guess I will be the only one driving it. [?]

I was wondering what would be the exhaust that everyone would recommend. I have been doing some research and it doesn't seem like a lot of companies have an exhaust specific for the turbo. Any help ?[:I] This weekend I am planning my first modification. I will be installing at set of Eibach springs. I let you all know how it goes.

Depends whether or not you are going to Stage 2 because a 2 1/2" catback is recommended. If not then a lot of turbo owners like the BTG axleback or catback exhaust. It is a 2 1/4" exhaust and is good for stock to Stage 1. I had the BTG single and I loved it. The only reason I went to the Heartthrob 2 1/2" single exhaust is because I am going to Stage 2. Some like Magnaflow and some Borla. Some like single exhaust and some like duals. If you like the cosmetic look of duals keep in mind that duals do nothing for performance on a 4 cylinder engine and cost more. I like the look of duals but don't want to spend the extra money that I can use for other mods. Be sure to shop around and if you decide on a system you might ask if anyone has seen it for the best price possible.

After doing a little reading through the site I have come up with another question. If I were to install the ATP 3" downpipe & cat, how would it effect, or better put, work with my stock or even a
2 1/2" exhaust system? Would there be a problem mating up the flanges? [:I]Any help here would be geatly appreciated. Also how do the people that have installed the ATP system like it?
