Good question, does anyone have this info for a manual and automatic?

I been searching for 1/4 times between automatic and 5 speed GT's (Stock). So far to my knowledge:

Automatic:
0-60: 6.8s to 7.2s (I tend to believe 7.2s)
1/4 Mile: 15.37 Best to 15.7 (Set on "D"rive)

Car & Drive had 7.2s 0-60 and 1/4 of 15.7 for the 03' GT Auto.
Ian's time for best 1/4 time was 15.37 factory stock 04'Auto.

Maunal 5-Speed:
Absolutely no infomation lying around I can find. There are topics and forum messages leaving hints that a Manual will beat an auto by 1 car lengths = 0.5 secs difference

So that leaves a very rough estimate of:
0-60: 6.4s - 6.8s
1/4: 14.9s - 15.3s

I can't vouch much for the manual times. I do own a 04' GT 5-speed, but it has an aftermarket exhaust and I have not gone to the tracks yet, sooner or later I will. I have driven an 04' GT Auto and I feel that the auto GT has a better launch than the 5-speed, but the 5-speed would seem to edge out on the 1/4 mile (the gear ratios and shifting plays a major part).

Soooo off to the tracks! (When I get better in launching ).

For Stage 1 Mods Only Mod (no other mods):

Automatic:
1/4: 14.55 ~ About High 5's to Low 6's. That's the best post I've seen on this forum with just a Stage 1 mod for an autostick. However, I tend to see more numbers pulling around 14.8 to 15.1 Stage 1 Only mods.

Manual:
1/4: Don't have much of a clue on this one. But most people post their 1/4 times on their sigs + mods.

Disclaimer: I'm no expert on these times, it's just what I've seen posted on PT forums. I do wish someone to flame me and give some actual times

I run a 5 speed and according to my best ET (14.409 ET)my QuarterJunior software shows me running 0-60 in 5.72 seconds.

After comparing my drag software to my timeslips... looking at 60 ft. times, MPH, and actual ET's as recorded by the clocks...I would revise my 0-60 time as a honest 5.8 seconds. Not to shabby for "just a 4 cylinder"

Deen
P.S. These times are for "power-shifting". Shifting the normal way will drop you into low 6 second times from 0-60.
