Looks like a ricer fart tip. Big tips do not a better muffler make. I'm still not convinced.

Below (with permission) is an email from a fellow PT'r, take from it what you will.

Hi Russ,

I got your email address from Ryan at Aero Turbine. He also sent me some pictures of your PT getting the Aero.

If it's not too much trouble, I have a couple of questions about that.

Are you still happy with it?

VERY…..great quality product…not a cheap knock off. Thick walled construction and mounts great in place of the stock muffler and saves about 30 pounds in weight. The technology behind this muffler is well thought out.

Did you notice any fuel, horsepower or torque increase?

Yes…still tracking fuel…but so far…mileage is getting better and in the torque department…much more on the mid to top end range. And…notice not having to downshift going up steep grades here in Northern California. I really notice the kick from the low end as well.

How many miles have you had it on?

About 400

Thanks for your time if you can help with these questions. I am an active member in the PT Cruiser Links.com web forums, have you ever tried this?

Yes and Im a big fan. I must also tell you that the local muffler shop that installed the Aero-Turbine is going to become a dealer because of the quality and sound. This company is standing behind their product 100% and saves a bunch of $$ over the full fake duel systems. I did not have to replace my orig pipes either…..

Thanks, Pian. "Talk to a man that owns one".
So, for the PT, you have to weld a bracket to it to hang it? That's not easy on stainless for your normal muffler shop...[:I]

Okay, one bracket to stock tailpipe and another to the new muffler? Is the rod stock used stainless? I'm sure you didn't get it done at Midas - I only went there once and decided I was more competent than they were!

I would go to a smaller, independently owned muffler outfit for the install, custom work is best kept away from franchise type operations.
