Default Aeroturbine Exhaust

Does anyone know about these aeroturbine ( http://www.aero-turbine.com/index.html)exhausts? They promise quite a bit:
Increased Fuel Economy
Reduced Temperature
Increased Horsepower
Increased Torque
Increased Engine Longevity
Reduced Backpressure
Does anyone have one? It seems to me like a good deal at only $199.

it appears to copy the reasoning behind the swhirling intake stuff like the tornado intake add-on. Hmm 199 for just a muffler...it is stainless. kind off steep..IMHO. Good new find on the web though, it is interesting to see and think about

Rainman check out the hear it see it section. It looks promising to me. I wonder if they would work with as a dual exhaust?

They look and sound good, I would like to see some dyno's, although 1 of the customer testimonials had some dyno numbers in it, and another said it worked for his dual set up.

I'm always a bit of a skeptic on those "testimonials" from manufacturers, the only ones I truly believe are on web forums like this one.

So, someone needs to buy me one of these so I can give you the scoop.

If you are to believe their posted Dyno #'s, the torque increase in a 97 Mitsu Eclipse turbo looks like it goes up from 169 to 184 @ 3500 RPMs with their exhaust. That is a pretty bid jump. I don't know if that is realistic or not

As Seen On TV!!!

I saw it on "Two Guys garage" and it looks promising... It is a "Free Flow muffler with an airfoil inside.

As they explained it in the program, the airfoil is for noise dampening... the straight thu design is the real trick...

It is as close as no muffler as you can get. 3Bar once said that the engine will benefit from a free flowing exaust...

I don't thik it will fit in a dual configuration, but, if you look at almost all 4 and 6 cylinder engines producing big HP numbers, they have single exhaust.

Ian

Asked a few questions.

Got a pic of the four inch on a PT.

They don't come with any mounting brackets, those would have to be fabbed.

Looks like a ricer fart tip. Big tips do not a better muffler make. I'm still not convinced.
