Yep. The forth plug is for the tranny control.

But yes, to reprogram the physical ecu, he needs to have it there to reprogram it.
Didn't know that. When I swapped the turbo light to the n/a for testing I threw turbo codes not auto trans codes. So I figured the other plug was for turbo stuff. Tho only auto n/a I have are 02 back. So no comparison there. I will Have to look into that first chance I get.

This is really a cool thread. Lot's a good information. It would really be cool to know if Kevin could make a Skyked PCM that just makes the turbo lite compatible with one of the Diable Sport gizmos. Then someone with a turbo lite could have the flexibility to use one or more of the DS tunes Kevin and others are already offering.

Any chance he could provide programming to turn off the abs function and dash light?

Yes.

The PCM Syked made for my Vert doesn't have ABS. But it needs to be noted that Mopar made both ABS and non-ABS versions of the original Stage 1 PCM for 2006 and 2007 automatic GT's. The part numbers are P5153649 and P5153846. So FWD Performance may also provide the same thing for those year models.

But I don't know if Syked is able to turn off ABS in the 2003 thru 2005 programming. But if anyone can do that, I suspect Syked can. However, I'm not sure it's necessary if the PT (such as a 2004/2005 turbo lite) didn't have ABS to begin with. Myckee may be able to verify that.

There is a "disable" available but I sincerely doubt that anyone that has a business will use it even if a release of liability is signed.

First Thank you for the PM and question. I thought I would just answer it here instead of directly to you.

The access of the firmware (topic PCM PT Cruiser) will only disable the complete AIR Bag System not a single component. To eliminate or disconnect a single part like the steering wheel AIR bag you would need to disconnect the part and replace it with a electronic part to equal the electrical specification resistance of the part being bypassed. I DO NOT OR ADVOCATE THIS PROCEDURE ANYMORE.

This has often been a procedure outlined on many DIY threads on various forums regarding replacing aftermarket steering wheels or seats. There are descriptions what was used that claimed work and may work for others doing similar projects.

However as was pointed out to me recently by a representative from *very well respected Perfroamcne line of safety belts and equipment, he stated no one has ever actually tested these "tricks" in a crash simulation to verify that the rest of the safety system will work as engineered. Made me go hmmmmmm!?

Because of this* information I will no longer in future responses show my past projects as how to's regarding OEM safety equipment modifying. Mainly because I can not verify that my safety system will continue to work properly after any changes other then replacement of OEM parts.
