california emmisions testing?

I have an 03, with auto stick, and would like to do the stage 1 kit, but am concerned about emmisions testing, how do I know it will pass every two years, and one try yet? Let me know. Also if anyone has done this to there autostick, does it change the shifts feel, exhaust sound and all the other stuff chrysler says it will? Thanks

You might want to repost with a subject line that includes "...with Stage 1". Lots have been done as you describe.

New OBD II testing might need to have ALL of the sensors working, I know that one of the reasons that Stage I will probably not ever be C.A.R.B approved is that it turns off some of the sensors to achieve it's magic. It's a shame too because everyone that has installed the Stage I kit has had passing smog numbers.

If DEQ finds you have modified your vehicle they "could" fine you, most probably they will make you remove the Stage I PCM so you can pass their test.[8)]

"If" is the key. All of our mods need to be stealth like in their implentation. At the most if there are no visual signs, then its just a "sensor failure," problem. If that happens replacing the PCM should take only 15 min at best. But I'm in agreement with you on this, I guess we can "look" forward to the challenge.
