I live here in Jersey near PSIFI, not even half an hour. Give me some cost estimates, since I noticed you have to have the Mopar stage 1 for their kit to operate without check engine lights. I am more than willing to use my car, provided it doesn't break the bank too bad. I want to take my car to ATCO raceway one of these days[8)]
It is probably best for you to talk to the PSI folks about the actual costs, especially since you are close by. The only thing that I was able to do was to get them to see if they could help us, and they were very receptive about doing so. So if one of you east coast folks can check this all out(please) , we can get this going.

I tried calling, the answering system said to email them. I am just waiting on a response from them on what, when, and where we can get this thing rolling.

Sorry, but I happen to know that this only works if you spend your OWN money on it.[xx(]

I will be call ing PSI-FI sooner than expected. I just need to get some parts ordered. PSI-FI said that I should have Stage 1 and an O2 bung put on my car to get the most out of the PowerPaq.

I just received Stage 1 yesterday and I am ordering a new downpipe from Maxxfab next week. Once I have these installed I will be getting the PowerPaq installed. I will post the prices once I get them.

I do know that the guys at PSI-FI are hard to get a hold of. According to the SRT-4 forums Mike will be answering emails 10am to 1pm Mon-Friday.

Kirby

The folks at PSIFI Motorsports are very willing to adapt their Stage 1 package to our cruisers http://www.psifimotorsports.com/ECU.htm however they need a PTGT to fit it to. Ksquared11 is probably going to do this next month. The sooner that we can get a PTGT to these folks the sooner they can produce a "Stage2" package for us.

Turbo upgrade from the PSI folks --- No problem, their package will fit with the necessary adjustments for our cars.

Turbo upgrade from the AGP folks ---- They want a GT to do the prototype fit to. Any takers?

Things for us Cali folks --- Dynoworks in San Ber. I am going to take my car up there to have them install a boost controler on it. I asked for a recommendation and he recommended a manual BC. I sent another email this morning and I asked him about installing an electronic dual boost controler. I'm making plans to have the boost controler installed and the car dyno'd on 5/28/04.

But the long term plan is to buy the PT Stage1 package (as soon its released) from the PSIFI folks and later on get their PT turbo upgrade package.

The point of all this is that if we want to get our performance fix and not continue to be held hostage, then we need to do something about it, e.g get someone to take their cars to the PSIFI and AGP folks.

I hear you! Loud and clear! If DC won't someone will. Horray for the competitive American spirit!

Where do we start?

(Just watched a tuner show on SPEED taking an SRT to 370 wheel HP. AGP T3/T4, new valves, manifold, and the missing link...onboard engine management.)

I am a little confused so help me out folks. I went to the psi web site via the posted link. Is it my impression that they will supply a piggy back ecm and or chip which then needs to be programmed by ourselves or is it preprogrammed? Also, what about the waste gate. Is that an additional item to be purchased from another third party? My two cents to any Mopar personel listening is this is what I and many others have been trying to avoid. Please release a stage two which is a total package. And by the way, Kirby is right. If Mopar does not do it then lets find someone to deliver the goods.

TThrift,

I agree we may have to purchase something else in the meantime until they fianlly release Stage 2 (maybe 6-12 months???)

I have just started looking more into the EBC's on the SRT4 site and it looks like we could achieve around 255-260 HP and 280 ft. lbs. torque with the equipment that is available now for around $600.

Since your working with Hector from Exhaust Depot and your coming up with a billet waste gate (I'm assuming it's adjustable ?) we should achieve Stage 2 ratings with minimal problems if we can get Hector to do a test mule for our PT's. Here's what I'm thinking:

1. Purchase a Greddy Profec B Spec II and a remote Hi/Lo switch from Hector...$330 + $120. This would allow us to run Hi/Lo boost settings so we could run low boost at part throttle and not throw codes...then hit Hi boost for full-throttle applications. From my understanding this is a very simple install compared to other electronic boost controllers. If you can install S1 you should be able to do this.

2. Purchase your adjustable waste gate so we can pre-set boost to about 12-14 PSI. This should allows us to hold boost to redline instead of dropping like we do now with the stock WG.

3. Now this part I'm not sure off...with the above installed we should be able to run up to 16-17 lbs. boost to almost redline without the computer pulling timing or throwing codes.
If this is NOT the case, Hector should be able to give us the proper map-clamp (with instructions)to be able to achieve this. It's also my understanding that our S1 injectors will give us sufficent (safe) fuel-flow up to 17.5-18 lbs. boost.

I'm guessing with the above installed and set correctly we would see our PT's break into the high 13's in the quarter. Add the Mopar cat-back as recommended by Mopar and we should see around 13.80's

Now for those of you worried about your warranty...do NOT do this!

Deen
