The "ATTENTION" sticker tells ya that this PCM is meant to be used in the vehicle with the following last 6 digits in it's serial number. Then they write your #'s in there.

GG, just curious if you frequently checked your gas mileage before the stage 1? If so, let us know what it is after the stage 1. Thanks
I've only driven my GT about 400 miles since the S1 installation but my gas mileage has definitely improved. It's too early to be specific (possibly 10 to 15%) because I'm still afflicted with "chronic lead foot"!

Just a quick question, after installing stage 1, can I switch back to stock easily if I need to to pass California Smog?

thanks

nozzano22, since the 2004's have the large injectors, yes you could put the stock PCM back in and go for the smog test. If you had a 2003 where the injectors were smaller in the stock version you would probably be out of luck since changing back to the stock PCM with the larger injectors would make your car run pig-rich.

If the Stage 1 kit for 2004 comes with PCM only it must be possible to download and flash the firware to the stock PCM block without changing it? Or is there more to it than just firmware?

I heard one thing is this post I did not like "The only odd thing I notice is that the engine speed increases by 200 to 300 RPM between shifts even with my foot off the accelerator pedal. With my foot off the gas, the RPM increases just by pushing in the clutch. "
I already notice a lag inbetween shifts without S1, now that I hear this I'm uneasy about the upgrade right now. Gary

Since I got my '03 GT new the rpm's have stayed up there between shifts both with and without stage 1. I don't and you shouldn't worry about it.
