Default 2003 dream stage 1 issues

Well I put a fuel pressure gauge on and I am getting about 55psi but after 20 minutes of sitting it was down under 40psi and another 15 min it was down under 30psi. When I had them rebuilt they had an issue with 2 of them leaking but they said it was fixed. Gas mpg seem to have gone down also. Money is tight right now or I would just go and buy new injectors.

Try some fuel injector cleaner. The best bang for the buck is Barryman's chemtool B12. Well under $4. Or pull the rail out and and turn over to see how the look when the squirt. Then watch to see if the leak. Replace the leaky ones with used ones.

Well I got around to putting a boost gauge in my car and I ended up cutting a whole in the left vent above the radio. We don't use air con much here and I never use those vents. I also got a cool item from Modern perf. Its a pig tail for hooking up lights to your gauge. You pull a fuse and insert this into that spot and it has a places for the 2 fuses to go. Made it so easy. So I checked the boost with my so called stage 1 and I'm only getting 12lbs of boost. So much for stage 1. Not sure if this got flashed over or some knothead printed a sticker and put it on a stock ecm. Will be sending this into Syked here soon.

Do you have a scan tool that can see what the software is installed on the ecu, or have a friend with one, or even a Diablosport to read the calibration ID. That will verify the existence of the s1 programming or not.
If it does have the S1 programming, perhaps you have another reason for not peaking at ~15psi?

A simplified scanning tool that can read the readiness file ...if there is NA on one of the HO2 then STAGE 1 is active.

The sustained 12psi max boost under hard acceration is NOT uncommon with STAGE 1 users. Many people dont first check the engines health and expect a ECU/PCM to overcome mechanical and electrical issues already present. LOL

I recommend when reporting boost levels the need for specific's i.e. peak and holding time. A 12psi boost with a STAGE 1 after a higher psi boost level or peak would be considered good.

It goes to 12 and stays there. Might get 13 hard to tell when the thing is floored and torque steering. I have no scan tool for anything this new. I do have a decent shop right down the road from me.

As far as I know without looking at all MOPAR application guides the PT Cruiser Turbo model all had Intermediate shafts? This would be 3 drive axles 2 on the passenger side.

This means that you should feel almost NO torque steer to any degree of acceleration. If those that have an Intermediate shaft on a PT Cruiser and feel torque steer especially during hard off the line acceleration I would look for some problem in the drive-train.

Without monitoring instruments or DATA logging it is near to impossible to assume any true running condition under performance operations.

Below is a short test run. There is lots of information in this video.

LOL Hmm ......every well maintain and to specification as per Chrysler PT Cruise GT Turbo convertible or coupe did not!

The youtube does not lie... If I told you my track times....

The whole point to the intermediate shaft on PT Cruiser Turbo Models was to eliminate or at least reduce to the point of torque steer almost not being felt!
