Default What is the latest with Stage 2???

Maybe I am a desperate person but does anybody know what is the latest info with S2?

I have not seen any more posts or comments about it. Did they killed the program?
The website shows no info either.[:I]

This may be a silly question, but if the engines are the same, why wouldnt an SRT S2 work? Or even a S1 for that matter. People here say the differences between the SRT and the Cruiser are the aerodynamics and the tranny so........

There is a lot ore than just aerodinamics.

Our cars are fully controled by the PCM an it's external modules.

If you try to install the SRT "stage X" in a PT, It won't find the correct modules and shut down.

The PT tranys are also controled by the PCM via the TCM (Transmission Control Module) the SRT don't have this trany, so you will have no control on the automatic transmission.

there are many minor changes in programing that changes from one car to the other.

DC did it's homework to keep the cars separate even if they have the same hardware. They don't want to release the PCM Algorithms to anybody. this way "The buyer should buy the factory parts to the car." Chrysler to Chrysler, Dodge to dodge...

This just adds up to my "PCM Conspiracy"

It's too early for a June release.....

In addition, to fan the fire of Stage 2 not comming out....Chrysler decided that the new 2006 Chrysler SRT-4 (aka PT GT)will be announced using the Stage 2 PCM and a NVT 850 Transmission.

Okay, I'm just joking. Just be patient and wait for Stage 2 [].

RUMOR has it, the team that did the S2 for the Neon got pulled to work on the Viper, but a new team has been assigned to the PT S2. Please don't ask me where I got this from, but it was from what I think seems to be a reliable source. There is no release date but it seems atleast some one is working on it. I am not waiting, if I get a few mins. today I am ordering S1. I plan on getting a PSI FI power paq, boost control, and exhaust. Since we will not get the toys, this will give me the ability to adjust the system as if it were the toys. In the winter or rain, I want to be able to turn it down. This setup will cost about the same as S2 with toys cost the SRT4 guys.

I dont know if it means anything or not, but the part numbers for S2 dont come up on Dealerconnect anymore. In case you are wondering, dealerconnect is the Chrysler site for dealers. I did get an email from DC a couple of months ago with the dates for S2 for the SRT's, but I have seen nothing about it for us.
