Default S-1 up grad

HELP, PLEASE I talk to my DC dealer today to order a S-1 kit for
a 03 PT-GT auto-stick. He said he would be glad to order one for me
the price would be $ 429.00 + my old parts or pay a $ 500.00 core charge and keep my parts. IS THIS RIGHT? Where should I by a S-1 kit?

Thank you PT Dan

Try 1stchryslerparts.com $358 no core charge. I got mine there with no problems.

The MSRP is $429 for STAGE 1 for the Autostick, BUT, the dealer should NOT keep your parts (stock PCM) nor should there be a core charge of $500. The PCM in your 03GT was paid for by you and it belongs to you. You may want to consider taking your business to another DC Dealer. Just my two cents. Good luck.

Some dealerships are such hack factories. It makes the good ones and me look horrible.

GET IN TOUCH WITH TTHRIFT. He is a parts guy at a VA dealer. Yes I was yelling, he will beat that price by alot. I ordered my S1 automatic from him and didn't pay anywhere near that. I ordered it middle of last week, and should have it this early week. I refuse to give rip-off dealers anymore of my $$$$$$$. But Tommy seems to know his stuff, and gives good prices and service. IF I ever buy another car I may even drive down to his dealership.

I agree with THeir, tthrift is great. I get all of my Mopar parts through him. As for the stage one install. If you can change your oil and can read instructions you can install Stage 1 yourself.

the reason he thinks there is a core charge is because it is a function 11 part which means there is a core, but not in this case.
