My times were 15.6 @ 92 with just the Mopar Catback exhaust and a 5 spd. Now with some more mods I am at 14.4 @ 98.

15.2ish I believe were the Chrysler stats.
Stage one times vary with driver, tires, temp, etc...
I think the lowest Ive seen is a 14.7 [:I]

I ran mine with a boost controller and intake

Car & Driver and Road & Track both put the stock GT Automatic at 15.7. My automatic Stage 1 ran a 15.0 a few weeks back, but it was pretty hot that day. I've seen other Auto GTs with S1 run 14.7 or so.

I have yet to see a magazine publish times for a 5-speed.

I think Road and Track has the 05 PT GT 5-Speed COnvertables at 15.4 secs for the 1/4 mile. You can figure that the 04 GT's 5-Speeds should be able to 15.2 secs due to the weight differences.

Ian, please stop making the GT manuals look slow [].

Chrysler states that the Getrags are suppose to be 0.5 sec quicker, guess I better start clocking 14.8 secs on the track

At this point, I'm starting to think there is no real benefit using a 5-Speed for 1/4 mile runs I doubt that a stock 5-Speed manaul will do 14.8 secs, but never know......

I've run as quick as 14.40 @ 96.41 MPH with just Stage 1 & Mopar BOV, K&N drop-in filter, BTG muffler, and the "spring-mod".

Since then I've added the 2.5" Borla cat-back, Max-Fab 3" down-pipe, and stickier tires...haven't been back to try the new goodies out yet.

Deen

Deen, are you making those runs near home? Does the high altitude make a difference?

Also I have seen references to the "spring mod" but haven't seen anyone describe what they did exactly. can you give a little 411 on that?

The Auto-stick guys have it a bit easier than we Manual guys, if you don't shift at the proper point you're done.
