Stupid question about Stage 1 kits

Is it possible to add the Stage 1 Turbo kit to a regular PT? I keep seeing you Turbo guys adding it to your existing turbo. I just have a 2001 PT LE. I would love to give the car some extra OOMPH!

No. The Stage 1 kit is specific for the turbo engines. For the '03 turbo you get a new PCM and fuel injectors, for the '04 models you just get a new PCM as they come from the factory with the larger fuel injectors. You don't change any of the plumbing, the turbo, intercooler, or anything else. The Stage 1 kit really just has a much differently mapped computer controlling everything.

First of all, jmack, there is no such thing as a stupid question. Secondly, I believe Hahn RaceCraft makes after-market turbo upgrades for the 150hp PT Cruiser engine. However, I've heard that when you get done paying for all the parts/labor one might be better off trading in his present car for a new PT turbo model.
