Default Stage 1 Quick Learn

Hello,

I will finally be getting my Stage 1 PCM for my '04 GT Auto here in the next couple of weeks.
One question that has come up is in regards to the quick learn procedure required for the Autos.
Does this process need to be performed on the road or can this be done safely on jack stands?
I ask as I believe the dealers used to have the means to do the quick learn via computer in the shop, but am not sure if that was actually true. I mention this as I am not sure if the transmission actually has to be under normal load during the learning process or not.

Any input is appreciated.

I purchased mine through eBay from the seller myckeee. Here is the link to his store. https://www.ebay.com/str/myckeesecus
myckee (spelling is correct) is well-known on this forum.

And to respond to my original question above, I just went ahead and did the quick learn procedure on the road as per the original Mopar instructions. I never had any shifting issues of any kind after completing the process.

Very Happy with my Myckee Stage 1 (replacement a couple years ago for a flakey touring PCM, which itself was replacement unit from first year of the car's life). Never did a quick learn, just plugged it in and drove! Anyone have a link to the quick learn procedure?
