Have you already installed Stage 1? Have you had a chance to read the instructions for the Tranny Quick Learn? If you haven't done either it's probably not a bad idea to review the procedure before hand, but it really is a very simple process. It's basically just a series of part throttle acceleration runs and you only need to do the full procedure once.

Since installing S1 and doing the quick learn I've flogged my car on many occassions and am having no problems at all.

Ah, well then, this is perhaps a different question. Please tell me that you have done the tranny quick learn before flogging your car at the track! Once at the track I just leave my car in "D" and run flat out. My car shifts at redline all the way down the track, and I've run a best of 14.8 @ 90.5mph. It seems even the GT guys with Autostick get the same results whether they leave them in "D" or drop them into Autostick mode and let the computer shift for them.

The only other thing I do is pull the revs up to around 1500rpm, left foot on the brake, then just mash the gas when the last yellow light comes on.

Steve, Mike and Gary are experts, believe in them (the force is on the left coast) You'll know when its dialed in when your neck hurts and you see the blue lights in the rear view mirror (QPP like the OPP?) Welcome to the forum and.

Good Cruzin!

You can also set the shifter in '1' and let it shift up when it feels it needs to.

I will be going to the track this wed and if I can get more than a couple of runs in I will try each. For now, to have an apples to apples comparison of pre/post S1 I plan to leave it in '1' and it will upshift when it feels the urge.

I will try a power brake start at 1,500 and maybe more depending on traction. Pre S1 I went up to 2,500. it seemed to help but with only 2 runs hard to tell.

If anyone is in Northern California and wants to join me come on out to Infineon (old Sears POint, in Napa) this wed night. Last time I was the only PT there.

Mike

Don't keep us in the dark, Steve, what kind of times did you run at the track?
