Old Reader, and guy...Here is my question, Stage one is in box
, waiting till Sat. to do install, I have played with my car a little and was wondering should I put the car back to the way I got it or leave the "upgrades" alone. Not that I did much, ex: I am sure I could leave the "Baffles" from the air-box to turbo OUT! But what about the MBC, and the "Black-Line Trick (that I got off this form-THANX) When I installed the MBC- I blocked the brown line( to the turbo) and replace it with the "other" line form MBC ( the other of course is vac.) Please any help would be GREAT!! Thanks for all you HELP!!! |

Scottman, #1 remove neg.batt.cable before starting this project. I removed air box and turbo up tubing. Cover turbo inlet with clean rag. All plugs(4auto,3stick)can be removed. 10mm scoket, short extenion. I used 1/4in drive. INSTALL like you removed. Instructions say to do a brake in with your trans,DO it. "I" would do it with out boost controller pluged in. Your in for one nice ride. You will smile as wide as your grill.

Scottscars, ajoeb, welcome to both of you. Scott, do a search on Stage I and you can get some good hints as to what to expect. I installed S I last week-en and the biggist problem was getting the connectors off. The red tabs slid bac OK but the connectors were hard to get off. Pull out and down with some force and they come off OK. I had to remove my strut brace but the UCP and AirforceOne staid on. Watch out for the clip that holds the windshield washer tube near the cowel. I got a deep cut on that mother.
If you have an 04 GT you just have the PCM, but it now has four bolts instead of three. And, there are two wire harness attachment points on the PCM brackets. Good Luck! [8)] [?]

I took my BC off, but I doubt I needed to. I just wanted to see if teh car ran the same without it. I did, but it was a tad slower.
