Guys,
After installing Stage 1 have you noticed any improvement in the idling qualities of the engine. I remember reading on this forum that the slight engine idling roughness goes away with the Stage 1 install. Any feedback on this is appreciated. Thanks Guys! John |

My car idled fine before S1, idles fine with it. It's just a hell of a lot faster now!

No noticable differance in idling, more power, better mileage, this is the way the car should have been equipped from the factory...no downside to Stage 1 unless you get a dealer who blames any warranty problem on it's installation.

I found that at very low speeds (going 5-10 mph in a parking lot) the tranny is not as "clunky." Its VERY nice...Stage I is definetly worth the money, even if you arent interested in more power. The car just drives better, imo.

I'll let you all know how I like it once I install it. Today I had a little run in with some ricer with a sadly tricked out nissan 240. Primer ground effects with clear rapping tape holding on the front fender...LOLs It was so funny[ )] He had a turbo upgrade...could hear his blow off valve. He had his girlfriend along so he could have a shoulder to cry on when he got smoked by a stock PT Turbo. LMAO [8)] Guys it wan't even close....he made more noise then speed. I can't wait to have some real fun with Stage 1. Keep on Kruzin' Retroman |

I noticed that my car idles a little differently with stage 1 - it seems like it has about a 100 rpm lower idle speed, but it's only a subtle difference. Sure does rev quicker from 3,000 rpm to redline in 1st gear :>
)Saki - glad to hear you like stage 1 too. I think those of us with automatics notice an even bigger improvement in overall drivability than you do with the 5-speed. You've not made much mention of your adding stage 1 on these threads. Keep us posted as you and your car are one of the highlights around here. |
