Sounds like a poll...

If Stage 1 was CARB certified, I would buy it now... It has been one of my main hang-ups on not buying it already. I would even pay a little more for such certification.

I have been waiting to see what happens in the next few months. If rumors of Stage 2 with CARB and release soon, then I might just do that instead... However I think Stage 1 is more what I "need" right now.

The reason I haven't bought Stage1 is that I'm waiting on Stage2 period. That being said, I'd feel better if it was CARB certified.

had my stage 1 for almost 9 months now, so I guess for me it's not relevant. i would, however, feel much better if there was a warrentee for the stage upgrades.

I am considering the purchase of stage 2 and carb isn't a factor, but warrentee is.

just my .02

It'd make me feel better if S1 was CARB so I don't feel like I'm gonna get a fat fine if I get it inspected.
I also reallt don't feel like taking my car apart or going back to stock as I like the car the way it is now. Warranty...well, I don't think S1 puts anymore stress on the drivetrain than stock PCM. I don't go to the track (at least I haven't gone yet)so I can't imagine there's a heck of a lot more wear and tear. Hell, you can run the track stock or S1 and do the same damage...
So, yes CARB for S1 and I am happy.
If you could get S2 that way, then I would be...totally happy[:0]

I feel the same as Big Al. Certification (CARB) would move me to buy
S1, or S2 right away. Darrell

Where I live I don't have to worry about being inspected but Mopar would sell a hell of a lot more of both stage kits if they were CARB certified and even more than that if they came with a warranty. I love my GT but as it stands now when I decide to buy another car I can build up it won't be a DCX car because of the lack of warranty on performance parts. I will go with a company that does provide a warranty. There is a lot more interest in street performance these days and DCX will not keep loyal followers in this segment if they don't wise up.

I bought my SI from you even w/o warrenty and the fact I'm in Cali. I would have felt better if it were CARB approved and warrentied, BUT I would have felt worse if I haden't gotten it! BTW, I'm keeping the stock PCM for when I need my first smog test in '08.
