Default Don't confuse me

I want to order new plugs and wires for my 2003 Turbo (29,000 miles) (S1 soon to be installed) many times I get lost reading posts here as many people have different opinions. Please post solid advice on what type plugs /wires I should get. Can I just get them through mopar performance? Thanks a bunch! one more thing, is their such a thing as a tune up on our cars, I know the older carburator cars needed tune ups, but I'm not sure about ours. Gary

Gary, from all the things I've seen people discuss and experiment with, it seems the stock Champion copper plugs, part # RE14MCC5 are the way to go. A friend of mine has had good luck with NGK copper plugs as well, part # LZTR5A-13 and they only cost about .20 more per plug.

If you're going Stage 1 I would recommend dropping your gap from the factory spec .050 to .040-.045. I recently regapped my plugs to .042 and installed Magnecor 8.5mm ignition wires. I got the Magnecors from UltraRev.com - http://www.ultrarev.com/ecart/shopexd.asp?id=37461

The most dramatic thing I noticed was the typical freeway passing maneuver: the jump from 65mph to 90mph is just awesome! Blink and you're there. That, and my latest runs at the track showed very consistant 14.8~14.9 sec. @ 91 mph under the hot California sunshine on street tires. Not too shabby.

First off what Mike said is good solid advise. I like Champ plugs just replace at 30,000 miles and regap them new like Mike said give or take a few thousands! I use and recommend MOPAR performance plug wires at about $45 out the door. Very nice and long lasting wires and boots and I like the color.
