S1 install question

I rememeber reading somewhere that when you install s1 you need to set or recalibrate something after you install the new chip. Is all the information included in the instructions? I just want to pass on all info needed to my installer. Thanks, Gary

I think the only thing necessary is a quick learn proceedure for the auto-stick GT's. If you have the 5 speed (as your signature suggests) then I don't think you need to do anything. The hardware should have come with the required instructions anyway.

Dragula is correct - the quick learn procedure is for the automatic tranny only. Since you've got the 5speed just plug in the S1 PCM, swap out your injectors and put the pedal to the metal!

Those of you with the automatic looking to upgrade to Stage 1: do NOT skip the quick learn or you'll eat your tranny! Install instructions come with detailed procedure for the quick learn. Do not fear it, for the task is quite simple.

I expect, Gary, the way you are asking questions about your Stage I still in the box, that you must be thinking about installing it before January! You've got a long week-end coming up! [8)]

BTW, there is an event being planned in January in Arizona. You should think about coming out and demonstrating your products, with some for sale of course. Pay for it as a business trip! We could have a drawing to see who will volenteer a demo PT.
