Default to wait or not to wait that is the ????????

I have been wanting to get stage upgrade, but at this late part of the game I was feeling like stage 2 will be out soon?????. Reading some of the Forum post it almost sounds like the stage2 would create problems by running componets up to their upper limits and maybe causing some failure. So is a stage1 better or safer for our cars??

Thanks

OK here is another question. If you do the Stage 1 upgrade can you someday go back to your old computer unit? Why do you need the milage numbers when you order a Stage 1 kit?

We are only scratching the surface of the power that
this engine can produce at 250 to 300, this would be
about mid range.

IMHO, STAGE 1 has more than enough power coupled with improved driveability. Of course, if you race your car then you never have enough power and the search goes on... [] [8)]

I waited until "S1" had been out for eight months before deciding to "go for it"! No regrets at all. From my experience there are no bugs in the product and my GT is running flawlessly with over 11K miles on the engine with over 4K miles with "S1". If Mopar does eventually market S2,3 4, whatever, it is fine with me because I am very pleased with the outstanding performance of "S1" and will NOT be upgrading further from my STAGE 1 turbo. Just my two cents. Good luck.

I got back from the block party. I asked the question about S1, unfortunately, the engineering panel misunderstood. Apparantely, they know S1 as a production code and therefore could not comment on it. I then spoke to an engineer after the engineering table so was unsure, she she is part of the powertrain group. But she did say she would look at the Mopar website and have a better date as far as when S2 will be available. For instance, if not a specific date, like end of October, maybe end of fourth quarter of 2004.

Also, another PT GT owner spoke to a different engineering after the discussion. He said that those who have S1 will be able to upgrade S2 and a lower cost. I think he mentioned that they would reprogram the module or maybe sold to another PT owner. Unfortunately, he did not mention any date as far as S2 release. But at least it sounds like S2 will soon be a reality.

It better be out soon. Other companies are starting to catch on to the Cruiser and the potential and are developing thier own kits. If DCX doesn hurry, thier own market may be taken by other manufactuers.

At least maybe Stage 2 has some hope. I'm getting a bit wee tired running low 15's, it's starting to feel like 17's [].
