One of 3bar's last messages was suggesting that the SRT stage 3 components could be adapted to the PT. The SRT4 stage 2 should fit the PT with some amount of effort. With the engines being identical, there is no reason one couldn't find a way to make this work. Of course you are likely to lose some things, such as your cruise control. The SRT4 does not have one. You may have to get creative with the A/C control too. Get some wiring diagrams if you are serious about this. I am too cheap to risk it. Stage 1 is probably enough for me anyway. I have another car that does 13's on the 1/4 - its warranty expired like 30 years ago.

the guy "claiming" to have Stage 2 with turbo toys on a PT GT is full of S#!*.

The fourth PCM plug is needed for his AutoStick transmission. The turbo toys on the SRT-4 use the fourth plug to interface. Hence, he is full of crap.

End of story!

No doubt this person is full of crap...

However that 4th plug deal can be worked around - especially if you don't need the autostick function. The first PT's had a separate transmission controller. Such a controller could be adapted to later transmissions I would assume, allowing the SRT type of PCM to function with an auto.

However I wouldn't begin to try it without first examining the performance of a 5-speed manual configuration. And I personally have no plans for either.

The truely enterprising and intelligent individual can achieve wonders. There is never and end to the story to some people.

What I want to do is explore the PCM/Firmware internals. I have do some with the Ford EEC IV and V units. The Chrysler NGC units are a bit more mysterious to me at this time. If only I had more time...
