I just took my 03 GT in for a check engine light. The codes were 0633 (S1 default code - not a problem) and P0325 - #1 Knock sensor. The dealer wants to drop my stock PCM back in to see if that's causing the problem. My questions: 1) is it okay to run the larger S1 injectors with the stock PCM and 2)if the problem IS with the S1 PCM, where do I sent it for repairs and 3) if it's a knock sensor fault, wouldn't it stand to reason that the offending knock sensor needs to be replaced?(am I wrong that it's outside the PCM?)
any words of wisdom would be appreciated....[xx(] |

tezz, the only thing I can answer here with any degree of certainty is your ability to run the stock PCM with the S1 injectors. Those are the injectors that come with the '04s stock (even the Turbo Lites) so I'm sure you're fine there. It may run a bit rich though....somewhere I remember reading that the programming is slightly different between the stock '03 & '04 PCMs to account for the injectors.
As for the knock sensor, a quick Google brought up the following page: http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_cod...eric/p0325.php From the looks of it, odds are the PCM is just reporting a problem that exists elsewhere. |
