Default Mopar finally wins another...

I gave up waiting for Stage 2 and just mailed off a M.O. for PSI-Fi's Power-Paq. Just figured that waiting over a year for a company that can't even respond to us with a simple yes or no wasn't worth waiting for.
At this point there are only two or three other Cruisers out there running the Power-Paq. Won't be able to report on seat of the pants performance until sometime this winter and the racetracks will be closed in our area until next March. All's I know is that it supplies a lot more power but getting it to hook up will be my next main headache.
The good thing is IF (and that's a BIG if)Mopar ever does come out with S2, Psi-Fi will be able to supply a new Map for that as well and raise the power even further.[8)]

hyracer, good purchase. The PowerPaq from Psi-fi is great. As far as i know I am the only one who has it for the PT. It is great. When you are ready to install I will send you some pictures of my install to help you out. You will need to do some re-plumbing of the vacuum lines.

I agree with you on Stage 2. I will be surprised if it ever comes out.

As for traction, I just got some drag radials and I am getting the Psi-Fi traction bushings to see if I can get the power to the ground.

Welcome to the club[8)]

ksquared11-do you have an e-mail or contact with Psi-fi?
And, it works with your "Stage 1"? Did they recommend
anything to optimise your upgrade? I meant to write to
you before H.

To contact Psi-Fi you can send an email: Sales@psifimotorsports.com
The website is http://www.psifimotorsports.com/
The phone number is 215-262-8874
You can read all about them at http://www.srtforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=95

Because they are currently a part time shop (they each have other day jobs) they can be hard to reach.

I have met with them several times and I have several of their products on my car. They make some great stuff.

As for the PowerPaq and what else should I get. The PowerPaq will work with any mods you have but some mods will maximize performance. They recommended to me to get an upgraded wastegate and a boost controller.

At the time they recommended the WGA from turbochargers.com and the turbosmart MBC. You can check out my review http://www.ptcruiserlinks.com/forum/...?TOPIC_ID=8561

If anyone does decide to get the PowerPaq, I am happy to send detailed pictures of my install.

Keith,
Don't worry, I'll be calling you when I'm ready to do the install. Have you got your car fixed yet?
Mark at Psi-Fi said they had one other cruiser besides you with the kit...guess that makes me number 3. I think when we get the traction problems figured out will be the deciding factor on others foregoing S2 and stepping up to the Power Paq or something similar such as E-manage. I went with the PPQ because it requires less tuning. I'm sure this kit will get us into the 13's if we can just get the power to the ground. We know the PPQ is getting the SRT4s into the 12's.

For those interested. I broke my car a few weeks ago. I broke my axle upper and lower motor mounts and sheered off the engine mount bolt [B)][:0].

I have been debating what to do to fix the problem. I decided to upgrade the Stage III axles from the Drive Shaft Shop. They are rated for 550 HP, not that I will ever have that much. The parts that they needed to make the axles were on order and just came in.

I have since removed the broken stud from the engine and replaced it. I just pulled the axles last night and will send them out to have the new ones made.

I will have to use the stock motor mounts until Psi-Fi gets the new ones in.

In all my car will be much stronger and able to handle the power I am making. My next step will be to dyno the car to see just how much power I am making.

ksquared11, I hate to be a pest. How was your service from
The Drive Shaft Shop? I mean, how were you treated.
You will keep us posted on your progress with the PT. H.

Psi-Fi is a dealer for the Driveshaft Shop so I really have not dealt with them. I will only be dropping off my old axles them and telling them they are for Psi-Fi. I did speak with Frank from DDS last week about axles. He said that they wanted to see the old axles before they made the new ones. They wanted to make sure everything would work and fit properly. Luckily they are located on Long Island and it is not that far of a drive.

I plan on doing a complete write up of everything.

As for answering peoples questions. I am happy to do so. I have learned so much from this site and others that I am happy to help anyone out.

Keith

Will ksquared11 be one of the first to require an upgraded clutch...stay tuned folks
