Didn't I read somewhere that the warranty on the SRT-4 isn't a true DCX Factory Warranty like the rest of their lineup? Isn't it actually covered by a third party because DCX figured that the SRT-4 would be used and abused by it's core demographic and they didn't want to deal with the headaches involved? If I'm right then maybe they're more willing to produce advanced Stage kits for a car that they don't have to worry about fixing on their dime.
There are a heck of a lot more PT Cruisers out there than SRT-4s, and the potential level of aggravation and cost associated with problems stemming from Stage kits may be scaring them off. If I'm wrong on the whole warranty issue, then please disregard this message. Sorry to interrupt....we now return you to our regular programming. But if I'm right, doesn't it make you go "hmmmmmmm????" |

If so, then they should offer the warranty to us at a reasonable cost, kind of like a supplemental insurance policy. [:I]

Forget Chrysler and stage 2. If you want Stage 3 check out Psi-Fi and their turbo upgrade kit. They have SRT-4s running over 400 HP.

My car will be finished tomorrow. New axles, stronger bolts and repaired motor mounts. I met with Psi-Fi last night about fixing the motor mounts and getting the traction bushings. |

I agree with ksquared. Its really great to see a manufactuer step up to the aftermarket, but there is a world outside of Mopar. there is no reason for the Cruiser crowd to complain because other companies are making stuff for us! Psi-Fi and AGP are the big ones right now.
I actually think the S3 is a litle overpriced. There are other kits to get you to the numbers you want for $1000 less.
