Welcome to the STAGE 1 Club [^] and enjoy! [?] I think the answer to your question is "no" but I might be wrong?

Actually Gary, you are correct. Nothing to worry about if you diconnect the battery Bob, everything will be retained (I'm assuming your real concern here is the tranny learn, and I've been given assurancs by a DCX master tranny tech that everything will be fine).

Mean Green commented on your plug gap. Now that you've added S1 you really should think about regapping your plugs down from the factory .050 setting to .042 or .040 and maybe adding a set of Magnecor ignition wires. The regapping is free, the wires are around $60. The difference is noticeable to say the least. You won't be sorry!

Otherwise, welcome to the Stage 1 club! Great way to start the new year![?]

Are you guys using the Champ RE14MCC5 Copper plugs or the new number RE16MC? If the new number, where are you buying them? Also, where is a good place to buy Magnecore Wires? 33,000 on the GT, time to tune her up [8)]

Thanks. Had read the posts regarding plug wires and plug gap change. Good source for the wires? Plugs gapped today to .042.[?] Didn't get to fire it up because of other pressing[:I] commitments.

Can't wait to SMOKEM!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm using the RE14MCC5. The best deal I found for the Magnecor wires is Modern Performance for $60 for the 8.5 mm wires including shipping. Eveywhere else was $10-$15 more expensive. http://www.modernperformance.com/dcx/pt_cruiser.shtml

Thanks Tom! That's where I got my Powder Coated Valve Cover and Mopar Blow Off Valve. I'll give them a call tomorrow and order the wires.

Holy Cow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stage I and hyperground (4 guage) installed. Tranny learn meticulously performed and am I SMOKENEM!!!!!!!!!! [8)]

$150.00 for Stage I and hyperground install so I'm a happy camper. The hyperground wires are not at all obtrusive and as soon as DC fixes the tranny whine (?planetary gears? they assessed and will replace tomorrow) the Stage I badge gets afixed below the 2.4L Turbo emblem.

Now I understand why folks are asking what replacement tires are best cuz the originals won't last long.
