So I grudgingly ordered and installed Stage1!
At first I had an air bubble in the coolant, and was overheating. The fan was coming on. A couple of temperature cycles later I hear bubbling from the coolant overflow tank and all was well. I'm jealous of you '04 and later owners who don't have to change injectors. How easy is that? Not that this was too hard at all, but just swapping the PCM and doing the quick learn would have been sweet. I'm sorry I waited, but if it had been for Stage 2 it would have been worth it. Stage 1 is definitely worth the money. It feels much quicker now, and the Mopar blow off valve seems to go off more at part throttle. I haven't heard the burbling in the exhaust yet, but my exhaust is stock for now... |

Tell me about it. Welcome to the club. I'm freakin out about doin the OBD emissions testing. I know I can drop the stock PCM in, but don't want to foul the injectors.
I assume then , that the stock PCM for the 04 has diff programming parameters for the larger injectors.

Yes, I wonder if we could get our old '03 PCM flashed to '04 specs somehow. I think you'd probably pass with the Stage 1 in place anyway.

I dont see why the car wont pass emissions with stg 1 in an 03.
They wont see any codes and probably wont know the difference. I would guess you could swap the 03 PCM in with the larger stg 1 injectors and get away with it for an inspection. Remember in closed loop part throttle, the O2 is going to set the pulse width for the injector and maintian the AF ratio so I dont see why it should be rich with normal driving. At WOT then it might be different. I Run +20% injectors in my 86 Turbo Z and the logic module runs great, get 30 MPG and have enough fuel at WOT to run 20 PSI of boost. Anyone know the difference in size between the 03 and 04/stg1 injectors??
