Default catalytic converters

I was talking to a friend who owns a Camaro SS and he was telling me to get rid of my catalytic converter. That it will make much more power with a Turbo car. should I? What would go in its place?

Do you guys do it?

Thanks Phil

On a stock GT it will only make a couple of HP without the car. If you really want more power go with a 3" Downpipe with a High-Flow cat. Maxxfab makes a really nice one for a good price.

PP Crusin where do you live? Do you have to pass an emissions test every year? If not then go for it. There are quite a few areas in the country that still do not have to pass emissions. That is about the place that you would ever get caught. When was the last time you ever saw a cop get on his hands and knees to check to see if there was one a vehicle?
