Could you find out, if someone could order a Stg2 Kit for an SRT4 and simply have it reprogrammed(change VIN, SKim Key info from SRT to PT GT, without impacting the program) for 5 spd GT. I dont understand why that would not work and why DC is being idiots since they should at least release the stg 2 for 5 spd PT GTs since the programming is already done for an SRT. Other than the manifold being different(which wont mean squat in this situation) there are no other differences. And yes I know the getrag is somewhat different than the 5spd in the SRT's but doubt from a driveability stand point it would not matter. A stick is a stick.

Mike
Yeah but you'd lose the use of cruiser control (since SRT-4's don't have it) and possibly air conditioning. The Srt-4 and PTGT's are very close cousins; the genetic blueprints are the same, but not exact. Email me.

Dont know about the Cruise Control, dont SRT's have cruise?? AC, dont see why that would be different unless the fan schedule is dratically different, could overheat?

I was looking at a Stg3 kit this weekend. The Toys module fit in the bottom of the console. the Module is physically the same size between the PT and SRT4. however the PT I have has the Rear washer switch, defrostswitch, Traction control switch, and cig lighter in the module. The SRT 4's does not have Traction control and cig light there and uses thos 2 slots for the HOM switch and sprayer.

From the other thread listed above, it looks like one can buy a SRT4
Stg 1 for the same year PT 5spd and reflash it. I would think you could do the same for a stg 2 without toys.

What do you know that gives concerns on AC, Cruise? Also does anyone know if SRT4's have traction control? If so where is that switch on A SRT4?? I'll have to ask one of my friends who has one.

Dc is just following a Chrysler trend.
Why is the Hemi 'Cuda the most expensive collecter car? Chrysler made it almost impossible to get.

What about the performance 2.2Turbo cars? No Manual Trans optioned, and the same take it and lose your warranty attitude on upgrades.

This is a political deal. The suits will always trash the previous regimes goods in favor of their own. The PT is now 2 regimes old. (Spell that -- Don't let the door hit your butt on the way out!)

We are into building gas guzzlers now (e.g. SRT8 with it's small add-on guzzler tax), an efficient pleasant looking FWDriver with power is NOT on DC's horizon.
We have about 10 years supply of gasoline (as we currently know it)left, and DC is darn well going to go out in a blaze of gluttonous glory. Does this remind anyone of what got Chrysler in trouble in the 60s?[8)]

There are a few of us that already made this prediciton...and have moved on.
If DC ever releases their code, then you could adjust in common programming parameters. Otherwise, you can just flash in the appropriate parameters.

What he said.
After more than a year of waiting...if it was going to be available, it would have been available a year ago.

Hey Tommy, I'm super glad we have you around to sell all the nice aftermarket stuff. [?] How about the Psi-Fi PowerPaq? Is there any way we can get it from you instead?

If this makes a big difference without breaking the bank, it will be on my list of mods. Any idea what kind of perf diff it will have? What about any of the "cooling variants" with it (alcohol, water, CO2?)

Thanks,

Inferno PT
