Default where can I find the company that can reflash S1?

I need to reflash my S1 PCM because it is still having that glitch of the radiator fan not turning on sometimes. I searched around but I can't get the info.

I need the address or phone of the manufacturer so I can send them the unit and be upgraded.

Can anybody help me?

Ian

Ian, this is an email Flight Systems sent me after I called them about reflashing a Stage 1 PCM:

Please send the module to the address below, include a letter stating:

The reason the module is being sent to us
Vehicle model year
Vehicle type
Transmission type
The VIN you would like programmed into the module

Please package the unit properly, any unit that is found damaged upon receipt will be returned and the damage issue will have to be resolved with your shipper. The cost for the service is $25.00 + actual shipping charge + $7.50 COD fee. Please indicate whether you would like your module returned UPS Next Day Air, UPS 2nd Day Air, or UPS Ground.

I had the same problem and my dealer said there was a TSB on this and they needed to flash the computer. I reluctantly let them do this advising them of my concern about the Stage I settings. They assured me that I had nothing to worry about. Two emails to Mopar got no response so I just emailed your contact. Am awaiting their reply.

You're welcome! I was gonna send my used stage 1 PCM to them, but a Dodge dealership I know said they have reflashed a few SRT-4 Stage 1's and they would flash mine for $45. I guess I'll let them install it too.

Here is there message that I got from Jim Perry.

Mel,

I need you to send me the part number and date code as it appears on the Stage 1 control module, refer to the large white sticker on the front of the module. I will also need the VIN and date of purchase. Once I receive this information I will advise you as to what your options are.

Do NOT let the dealership reflash the module, doing so will wipe out the Stage 1 calibration and return your module to stock settings. When you reflash a module, the software in the module is completely erased and overwritten with the new code. The only item that will remain is the pinion factor settings, these settings are stored in a different location within the module. This is something the dealership should know, but you may want to share this with them anyway to prevent them from trying this with another customer’s vehicle.

Thank you,

Jim Perry

This is a post on the SRT Forums concerning stage 1 reflash method

This post will show the the preferred method for reflashing a used Stage 1 PCM for use in another vehicle. This method is preferable, since it gives you two benefits. It programs your PCM with both your VIN and secret key data to your PCM. This is actually one step better than a Stage 1 programmed by Mopar, since it will not set a P0633(SKIM key mismatch) code. This means your PCM has YOUR VIN, not the other vehicles VIN. There's a bunch of tecnical data concerning this stuff. If algorithms and PKI type tech turn you on, let me know. We can discuss it.

Thanks to nastyblacksrt and his dealership techs for trying this and verifying that it works. Since then at least two, maybe three or more used Stage 1s have been reflashed this way.

These procedure are from the PL2000 Powertrain Service Manual.

NOTE: 2.4L Turbo Manual Transmission.
After replacing the PCM, you must program
pinion factor.

1. Turn the ignition on (transmission in park/
neutral).
2. Use the DRBIIIt and select THEFT ALARM,
SKIM then MISCELLANEOUS.
3. Select PCM REPLACED.
4. Enter secured access mode by entering the vehicle
four-digit PIN.

5. Press ENTER to transfer the secret key (the
SKIM will send the secret key to the PCM).

This concludes method one.

Please see the other sticky (Rekey Method)for the alternate method, for use when your dealership does not want to use this method.

Please instruct your dealer to follow the DCX procedures as found in the proper DCX manual, not these, these are intended strictly to show your dealer which procedure is to be used.

Well, my PCM is on it's way to Flight Systems.

Jim Perry was very helpfull! he replied five minutes after I sent him a message!

All I can say from this company is defeanetly an ISO14001 and TS16949 Certified corporation.

Customer service is the image of any company.

BTW, My reflash only cost me $12.61 for the entire proces!!!!

This sure beats waiting for a dealer to figure out how to reprogram my PCM and risk loosing my S1 data. This is the same dealer that a few months back forgot to tighten the CV Joint Boot strap after a waranty repair.

I don't get it. Mopar programs my VIN in Stage 1 initially and it still gives P0633 error (according to the manual) with my VIN in Stage 1. It must be something else then.
