Default Stage1 losing power?

Hey Guys,

I have an '03 GT Auto, Stage1, Mopar BOV, and a K&N FIPK. I installed stage 1 on February the 26th which was a Saturday, and did the tranny learn that night. The first week was awesome, it would pull so hard on launch one time the "traction off" light stayed on for five minutes (due to it being overheated?). I roughly timed the 0-60 to be around the 6-6.5 seconds or so (guestimate), and it would pull in 3rd and 4th like never before.

Well this week it just seems real sluggish, after searching the forums, it seems that maybe the spark plugs need to be re-gapped? They are factory plugs and wires, and I have around 12,000 miles on the car. I bought the car in the middle of '04 and it was an '03 that was still on the lot. I love my car, but what happened to my stage 1 performance?

BTW, I baby my car around town, I like the added toque, and I usually shift around 2200-2500 RPM, does the transmission learning my style effect performance that much?

Thanks for all the help, and information guys!!

OK, here are my suggestions. First off, take off the factory spark plug wires and throw them in the trash. They are garbage. Get a set of Crane Firewires or Magnecors. I personally have the Cranes; you can't beat 25 ohms per foot of resistance! Regap the plugs to 0.040. Make sure you disconnect the battery while you do this. Why? So you can reset your PCM! The PCM learns the way you drive, so if you drive soft, it will give you softer shifts and smoother power. If you drive it hard, it will learn and come alive giving you all the power you want!
